Exuberance Ignites
the sharing of joy
a powerful deliverance
the audience was asked
“does anyone have a Halloween joke?”
and there from the stands
too small to see
a child’s voice rang out
clearly with glee
“i do!”
no encouragement needed
the two-liner was shared
and the laughter was immediate
delighting in the child’s excitement
what a gift to the evening
so simple, unrehearsed
a solo performance
a star-burst of exuberance

purity is the divine presence
encompassing all
acceptance of all
our connection and essence
to Great Spirit and Love

we can live in the presence
of love and beauty
this can be how we choose to live
our innate nature
our sacred duty
let us leave behind
the perils of the past
the uncertainty
the problems
once cast
they cannot last
to influence the new
our claim to freedom
