White Light
white light
invisibly pure
containing all colour wavelengths
yet no colour is seen
only pure light
all the colours of a rainbow
contained within
polychromatic
yet it is the only light we can see
with our eyes
how was that devised?

Light of the Night
in the light of the night
we are in wonderment
celestial stars shine upon us
moving and guiding
seen only at night
the moon shines above
its fullness so bright
casting moon shadows
as if in daylight
we can see
it is another world
we seldom observe
but has it ever occurred
why do we sleep then?
what are we missing
in the stillness and magic
of the night?

Given Space
given space and time to create
support them
given their art and what they are here to impart
serve them
the artist’s way is here to stay
gifting beauty
bring what they need but stay out of the way
honour them
the speed of their work and the layers they lay
is powerful
the artists themselves don’t understand how
they create in the now
becoming what they do
total immersion
with no diversion
when undisturbed
