Darkness Awaits

darkness awaits

and Owl is at home

in the stillness and silence

Owl likes to roam

if we had Owl’s sight

there is no doubt that we might

not feel any fright

when something moves in the dark

when something moves in the dark

the void, the place of creation

it has come to leave its mark

to influence a new situation

movement is life

and we are here to receive

to develop new sight

and change what we believe

As a Tree

thru a guided meditation

i became a tree

i remember the street i lived on

and all that i could see

my limbs branched out

far across the street

i watched the comings and goings

and sometimes waved to greet

i was so much taller

than those who moved below

would their awareness be as expansive

if they were able to grow?

Ladybug

Ladybug

there was a ladybug

floating in the pool

i swam back to check it

it was still alive

on a fingertip

the ladybug was lifted

and carried to the poolside

where her wings could dry

don’t ever negate

a simple act of kindness

even the tiny ones

have the power to express their thanks

for the rest of the day

i felt a tingling on that fingertip

bless the little ladybug

for having her say
