On the Brink of Destruction
not what you thought when you read this title
a world in peril? fear for our planet?
no, don’t go there
there is a much more important message
we are on the brink of destruction all right
the destruction of all that is not right!
destruction of all that is out of integrity
a doing away with archaic practices
we are really becoming aware
we have access to so much more information
don’t wait until a loved one is affected
take action now to support those who are leading the way
we have all been affected
we are all connected
we are here to support each other
freedom comes when we know one another
be informed on what is happening to our climate
what are our renewable energy resources?
education, pollution, habitat and populations?
what can we do in our homes, our communities?
be joyful in knowing that the grass roots are growing
grass, the most abundant of plants
beautiful, diverse, useful
the grassroots are being fed naturally
water, air, earth connections
warmed by the natural energy of the sun
we can no longer take these things for granted
something has to be done
and it is
there are infinite ways of creating change
greening the land, refreshing air and water
creating beauty wherever we are
seeing the beauty wherever we are
being grateful for our very lives
and the opportunities thus gifted
sharing of our abundance with others
contributing to a sustainable way of existence
celebrating the changes that are evolving
being a part of what we are solving
destruction of the old ways that do not make sense
allowing for replacement by creating what does
taking responsibility for participation
yes, simply because

Flatline Investments

do we not invest expecting a decline?
what would happen if we created a straight line?

business profitability goes in cycles, in waves
we’re often not able to predict how it behaves
we invest and really gamble on what we can expect
and wealth from growth and expansion is what we hope to beget

perhaps it’s curiosity or simply a clear vision
but what if we completely revised our investment decision?
an investment graph with spikes and dips is a common occurrence
now picture something quite unique, a different observance

from a high up spike there starts to be a slow and smooth decline
and then at a certain point it becomes a level, horizontal line
the investment has now stabilized and an investor can expect
to have a stable income now from a futuristic aspect

at a level where a profit can become a guarantee
and the company you’re investing in absorbs the reality
the reality of some ups and downs that certainly occur
but stabilized by having a practice that has sustainable allure

we can then be satisfied with supporting something good
and no longer will we worry if our investment could
be a risk, a loss, fearing for our future needs
and we will have released an aspect of humanity

Rising Women

rising women, let it be known
out of their cages
into freedom they’ve flown
capture the essence of all they have been
recorded, experienced, all that they’ve seen
with strength and resolve to change the old ways
they’re gathering, sharing and counting the days
the days and the hours that it will take now to spread
from woman to woman, across the ground that we tread
from sister to sister, crossing oceans and plains
what are they sharing? what are the gains?
thru silence and stillness, often witnesses they’ve been
now they’re emerging, no longer unseen
they ready to hold hands creating a web
and we will all listen to what will be said
they know that the suffering, the suffering has grown
from controls, dominance, imbalances we’ve known
so to step into the light and see, be the change
will take every woman who’s no longer estranged
estranged from the future, the future that can be
where her children, grandchildren can truly be free
where life on this planet is honoured and kept
free from pollution and balance is reset
where the sharing of goods becomes local again
and healthcare and education are easy to attain
where beauty is enhanced on every inch of the Earth
where there is a total renewal, a total rebirth
women are rising for they always birth the new
and from heart to heart they are calling to you
gather the wisdom, the love that you’ve known
for those are the seeds that are about to be sown
