The Staff of Life

the staff of life is plunged into the earth once again
for the renewal of life is about to begin
the staff was a branch of the previous tree
now newly planted, it is growing to be

a branch of what was stripped of roots and its leaves
has the essence of life and the memory of trees
what it will become depends on how it is nourished
the light it receives and how the soil is refurbished

water is essential, much more than elemental
water carries the emotions, the prayers, layers and layers
the collective decisions, it writes the revisions
water will be the future and what we must nurture

yes nurture

for as for life to be, exotic and free
the staff of life is responding
and the weave is corresponding
to what we conceive from what we believe

Waiting

waiting
waiting
waiting
quiet, still, to receive

senses attuned
on full alert
know thy senses
beyond those from birth

recognize the feelings that come into play
once a sense is activated, a memory just may
may be triggered and intensified by the attention it gets
and off we may go to elaborate on our past times’ quests

but wait, wait again, let the stillness return
if a memory is activated, observe it and learn
to release and move on to allow more to come in
senses enveloped in the photonic spin

how to receive is what our senses are for
we’re learning, discerning and receiving far more
intuning, outsourcing, connecting to all
waiting to respond once we receive the call

Body Language

the human body is meant to show emotion
our essence is that of an emotional being
we are meant to feel into all we experience
feelings interpreted, then given a response

and what of those who have learned to show no emotion?
their eyes, their faces devoid of their character
no smile lines, no furrow of the brow
that usually is etched on their faces by now

for those who can read another’s energy field
what emotions they carry is always revealed
is there love in their hearts, fear, pain or a desire for control?
sometimes a distain for others when control is their goal

those with a passion for loving and giving
exude these qualities by the way they are living
fully aware, connected to the present
they offer of themselves, we can feel what they meant

communication is not all by the voice
our posture and movement gives us a choice
to fully embody all that we are
an emotional being shines like a star

the beauty of showing the emotions we feel
is that we show to others we have nothing to conceal
to know ourselves and share all that we are
lends so much more to communication
and understanding the Mar
