… on exploring the responsibility of acquiring an abused pet with history and breed reputation for attacking others…

One Hell of a Responsibility

to save a life yet to threaten another

is a difficult choice to make

compassion of the heart or a yearning for love

can influence which road we take

and what of the discussion of reputation

is it justified or not?

a simple research of the facts on hand

may shed light upon this spot

this spot one can be in, mistake even sin

cannot be easily undone

for if the facts stand true and they often do

it is only time to see which argument’s won

beware of defending unless you know

for certain there is no threat

for to be responsible for the lives of others

is one hell of a responsibility to be met

Forever the Peace

forever the peace
embracing it’s still
no need to forgive
as all judgement we quell

acceptance, allowing
seeking to know
others’ perspectives
ideas to sow

bridging the gaps
connecting all beings
sharing our lives
and all we are seeing

peace in our hearts
embracing the new
keeping the feelings
of love as we do

The Act of Forgetting

are we getting forgetful?
losing a sense of time?
not remembering names now
or the sequence of time lines?

are we starting to worry
we aren’t functioning too well?
do the words no longer come to us
and no longer can we spell?

is this happening more often?
does stress increase the loss?
would we call it dysfunctional
and what will be the cost?

or could this be a symptom
of the past that is now setting?
can the dawn of becoming
be enhanced by the act of forgetting?
