As a Tree
I am a Tree
rooted here to stay
Many live upon me
embraced as i sway
I multiply with time
thru my roots and my seed
My wood gives fuel and shelter
Leaves, fruit and nuts feed
While mostly green in colour
i can be almost black or white
And as the seasons change
leaves turn to dull or bright
I hold a lot inside me
gathered from all around
with branches like antennae
and roots spread thru the ground
