the art of persuasion no longer exists
each must make their choices
and no one can insist
that another aligns

so instead of persuasion
let us lay out our wares
showing what we have
and looking at theirs

let us ask our questions
and listen with the heart
for seeking understanding
is the critical part

allow the personalities
allow how they speak
focus on the message
and the wisdom they keep

we have the means
to work together
together we can co-create
a future for our children
knowing all that’s at stake
