Dreams

Dreams
to awaken from a dream
where we feel so much clarity
can jog our awareness
right out of disparity
the question becomes
“what is our reality?”
will we recognize those
who we’ve met in our dreams
when we walk into the future?
as our worlds merge it seems
that’s exactly what will happen

All Your Pain

All Your Pain
take all your pain
to the table
spread it out
so as to disable
all the attitudes
all the framing
into stories that are
composed of blaming
blaming of self
blaming of others
sometimes of circumstances
or not getting our druthers
don’t cover them up
lay them bare
take time to understand
and to care
ease them along
to full disclosure
encourage them to speak
so they may have closure
then let them go
one by one
release the pain
the stories unspun
dust off that table
release the past
a pain-free new journey
has now been cast
move into it
you are free to be
look into the mirror
meet the new you
the new you that you see
