Effigy

let us honour and not distort

an effigy of Bill

let us model who he was

and from the best distill

his way of being

his way of seeing

he knew our strength is

in the sharing of ourselves

and of our love

and our gifts

and in coming together

as aspects of

a greater whole

Not Alone

bespoken and received
with a quality of fair
quantum denial
was certainly out there

precious the singletude
of options aligned
confronting the deniers
with courage designed

designed for opportunities
to sing a new tune
to move from midnight
and reign at high noon

scholastic endeavours
will seldom replace
the skills that are heart held
found by living in grace

An Opportunity Offered

an opportunity offered
by sharing from the past
emotions, memories
from the outcast

no one can know
or possibly judge
another’s journey or perspective
but they can be given a nudge

sharing from the heart
the questions, the pain
offering love as
a simple opportunity to gain

to gain a new perspective
an ounce of understanding
our world thrives with collaboration
it is when our love is expanding
