Cracking the Nut
cracking the nut
that hard outer shell
exposing within
what we know well
as healthy
sometimes we have built
thick shells of protection
avoidance patterns, heart walls
hard to choose a new direction
until we break open and free
who we truly be
and honour ourselves
and what always dwells
within

Spinal Theory
every vertebrae we have links to another
able to move and to protect as a cover
hiding within a highway of nerves
uniting the functions of the body it serves
the spine likes to stretch
the spine likes to rest
the spine likes to dance
our emotions enhanced
by expressing them
with motion
then releasing emotion
back into the flow
stretch
rest
dance
all the emotions we know

Singular Sensations
noticing now
strong singular sensations
ignited by colour, by light
sometimes sound vibrations
the beauty of nature
from the intricate and small
to the widened expanse
that is containing it all
details now noticed
as never before
in awe we are humbled
by creation’s galore
