Emotional Acumen
floods of emotions
have brought tears to so many
we can’t find the reasons
perhaps because there aren’t any
emotional scales
are the gift of being human
we are learning to drive licensed
with full presence of emotional acumen
to feel the depth of each emotion
when we have access to them all
we are presencing in our wholeness
with the gift of recall

Blue Jeans
blue jeans
have been the art of perfection
durable, comfortable in every direction
even when torn
they became a new style
all shades of blue have been around for a while
a metaphor for life
we seek comfort with a longing
to express ourselves as we are yet have a sense of belonging

where did we go
when we forgot how to trust?
the opposite of a near-death experience
call it a near-life experience if we must
where did we go?
it was to a vision of paradise
a heaven on Earth
a glimpse of our potential
it is time to remember
to share our versions of the seen
time to muster and engage
as a co-creative team
