Metaphoric Wings
wings feel like this
full beingness, elation
the ability to lift off
a wondrous sensation
when we deny them
shoulders round forward
we develop a slouch
our posture is altered
lift up our chests
regain our balance
our wings have some weight
support our angelic talents

let’s play at simplifying
a box a day
to give away
what emails to keep?
the rest delete
what clothes do we wear?
the rest gift or share
our kitchen clutter?
not used? declutter
books to gift away?
choose which ones will stay
let us dedicate to this
at least an hour a day
and feel the new space erase

Let the Body Inform
let our body tell us
it has experience to share
it has its priorities
and asks for our care
and so to dial inwards
and listen to what is asked
here are some priorities
let’s accept this as our task
sleep and rest
time in nature
exercise
plant-based diet
love, fun & joy
freedom
time with friends
creating beauty
discerning & boundaries
gifting & sharing
peace & quiet
prayer & meditation
following our guidance
living as love
living in gratitude
thank you body
