Lampshade
sometimes we shine our light
and it can be too bright
for those who are near us
sometimes their eyes glaze over
like sunglass protection
allowing them to adapt
aware of this we too can protect them
by wearing a virtual lampshade
but always shining our light

Gently Disarmed
gently, lightly
in a soft and tender manner
we now dismantle the remainder
of our tools of conflict and harm
even those layers of protection
especially to our hearts that are so precious
we peel away the layers allowing
our receiving of the New
the dominance of love
in every communication
in every thought we think
in every act or demonstration
love is our power
our power to overcome
to right the wrong and the suffering
thru our efforts all will be done
let us be love

Hatched
from the tiniest seed
a small point held within
yesterday there was a hatching
a new life did begin
what it will grow into
is yet to behold
the feeling expressed
is both beautiful and bold
to begin from a nothingness
nothing but love and a presence
aware the sacredness of life
is now our pure essence
