As Trees
the trees are Earth’s lungs
and stand like antennae
sensory projections
gifted personae
beauty, diversity
some scented, some strong
a community that is networked
thru roots widespread and long
we are as trees
rooted in the past
diverse individuals
with networks that are vast
as trees and as humans
we are also connected
multi-dimensional links
always intersected
as we breathe
as our hearts beat
as we are nourished and loved
as we bask in the sunlight
radiating from above
let us honour these lives
knowing we are part of each other
habitants on Earth
our communal Mother

Disturbing
a restlessness
a core concern
we are all feeling it
as our forests burn
every tree
every singularity
plays host to many
with its hospitality
every forest
a community of souls
is gracing the landscape
with its multitude of roles
let us pray and take action
to protect where we can
honouring every tree
with a long life span

Candelabra
the beauty expressed
as we all shine our light
is metaphorically shown
by the candelabra shining bright
a circle, a massing
of many candles together
a powerful presence
with energies beyond measure
together our energies
can be harnessed for speed
to extend to and deliver
to others in need
