the inner wall can’t be climbed
it was built there for protection
now fear has gone
it doesn’t belong
time for a quick dismantle

A Good Sleep
A Good Sleep
a beautiful ping sound pierces my sleep
a few minutes later there is a repeat
a struggle to wake up and a wondering now
what is this message in the middle of the night?
two hours later i have found my phone and have read
then couldn’t believe what the message had said
have a good sleep, if only they knew
that is exactly what i was hoping to do
too tired to plug in or turn off my phone
a lesson was learnt and expressed with a moan
now i’m up writing well before what’s the norm
might as well choose to welcome this morn

Renovation
to reconstruct, to improve
to modernize, to repair
to renovate
we are in a time of great change
and opportunity
we have the power to reconstruct
the world we live in
thru our words, thoughts and actions
we participate in improving what is
we uplift, modernize, even simplify
our habitats, our work, our way of life
we are repairing the damage done
much of it from our past conflicts
or our desire for material wealth
or from being competitive
we have this glorious opportunity
to renovate
simple things – the next meal
big things – our relationships
the teams we are building as we share
our consciousness to all that is
our understanding that
we are all in this together
and that we are changing
the choices we make
play time!
