To Be Still
i sat down
i sat down to listen
i could feel the presence
i could hear the presence
i could feel the expansion
beyond what i have known
there is a sense of not to hurry
to simply be with this
the broadening and blending
of my own presence
into the beyond
let us not forget
to be still
to tune in
to simply be

Sometimes
sometimes the seed
of an emotional reminder
triggers the mind
into story-writing mode
our imaginations
have access to all
able to look around
like shopping the mall
so a caution here
now knowing our power
let us use our imaginations
to be the endowers
of the way to simply be
a loving presence

Amassed
the amassed good fortune
of humanity’s treasures
goes to the very heart of
being able to love
beyond measure
and yet there is suffering
of those we can’t reach
who are lost in the control
of the ones who preach
inequality
may this be the year
when we move beyond fear
may we seek to define
love
joy
peace
and gratitude
as the elements of creation
bringing us into right relation
with all that is
