lighting the candles
to focus our prayers
shining the light
as we are aware
celebrating, honouring
remembering too
our life purpose is to shine
to shine our light
into all that we do
and taking the time
to simply highlight
our application of love

let us fly the flag
of infinite belonging
representing the Earth
our home since our birth
no separation
into countries or place
all represented
as seen from outer space
our beautiful
blue planet

Phantom Defined
can the phantom be defined
or is it by imagination designed?
what is the reality
of this life that we live?
what if a distant mirage
becomes our place of focus
do we fill in what is missing
to make it feel real and complete?
the question may be
do we choose our reality?
and if we choose to let go
and choose to be empty
what then arrives
out of nothingness?
let us be still
