Essence or Peril
we can live in the presence
of love and beauty
this can be how we choose to live
our innate nature
our sacred duty
let us leave behind
the perils of the past
the uncertainty
the problems
once cast
they cannot last
to influence the new
our claim to freedom

Prayerful
we are given to prayer
when faced with extremes
sometimes things are beyond us
and we don’t have the means
we pray then for help
support, inspiration
we pray for understanding
and that our strength be renewed
surrendering our worries
that they may be reviewed
by the Presence that’s there
we are always looked after
we pray for patience
we pray for the seeds
those we’ve vested in or planted
may they flourish and grow
we pray for the daylight, for a coming together
we pray for the more, the more we will sow
ideas, precious visions
new ways to be
we pray for all life
to be happy and free
and we give thanks

instant persuasion
a powerful equation
it captures our attention
what is the valuable resource
we often forget to mention?
the human resource
it is our most important capital
the collective wealth of our abilities
our energies, our knowledge
our skills of communication
our emotional capital
let us capitalize
on our knowledge of such
let us share, exchange, build up so much
as resilience, power and the tenacity to do
whatever is needed to see us all thru
