is the point of re-entry
to which we can yield
back to the physical
aware of surroundings
feeling our breathing
heartbeat gently sounding
and as we awaken
to the presence that’s here
we are aware of the love
and the absence of fear

an offering from one
kindred spirit to another
is for full transparency
so as to uncover
their present circumstances
the ability to go deeply within
to seek where they are
so that both may begin
to know where they stand
long friendships, old habits
new interests, old expectations
honouring the roots
giving the obsolete the boot
tearing out the old pages
might have to be done in stages
but the importance exists
for each soul has its lists
of questions, of feelings
unanswered
each desires the freedom to be
