the body had settled
after hours that wrestled
with noise and commotion
then once again nestled
to sleep until morn
waking up warm
releasing what was
ready to play

i sat down
i sat down to listen
i could feel the presence
i could hear the presence
i could feel the expansion
beyond what i have known
there is a sense of not to hurry
to simply be with this
the broadening and blending
of my own presence
into the beyond
let us not forget
to be still

to simply be
