A Priceless Treasure
as small as a mouse
yet as strong as a house
tested by an earthquake
for our sake
just the squeak of one hinge
that was out of alignment
left a hint of a message
the earthquake’s assignment
recognizing all can be lost
in a powerful earthquake
it is then we understand
the only thing we’d want to rescue
is the life of another
a priceless treasure
to behold
and to hold again
