there are no mistakes

is an opportunity
to stop or slow down
and to reflect on
was there any damage done?
did it teach us to slow down?

to decide to take a different route?

the beauty of giving
is the joy that we feel
and the art of receiving
is also a gift that is real

Blinded by Light
blinded by light
we close our eyes
to focus on the light
that shines from within
deafened by sound
we tune out the inbound
and listen to the silence
new frequencies found
and so with all senses
our awareness has shifted
we have been gifted
to know the beauty
within
