A Knock on the Door
a phone call, a text
an email received
a synchro-reminder of love
from our soul’s friend retrieved
always an indication
this friend has something to share
a connection with a question initiated
from somewhere out there
it is a moment of redirection
an instant of reflection
our friendship built
on deepest sharing
and a history of
i am here for you

Warmth is the Prelude
generosity of spirit
combined with attention
warms the heart, the high heart
a pre-set intention
we may feel no emotion at all
as we engage in our beingness
yet notice a feeling of warmth
when we answer the call
the call to surrender our personal desires
the call to dissolve structural empires
the call to receive guidance incoming
the warmth of reception to what we are becoming
a new humanity

Our Love of Endurance
endurance bypasses
the containment of the past
we are constantly testing
how we might outlast
past performance
our love of endurance
of our personal best
our stamina to endure
the next unknown test
could perhaps be called
humanity’s quest
