what we know
is being erased
the stories we lived
were often written in haste
the propaganda, the suppositions
will be replaced by the inquisitions
into reality
inquisitive to know what can become
replacing beliefs with what is the sum
of all we’ve experienced of love and beauty
creating the new now our sacred duty
the new humanity

The Chorus
a springtime chorus of frogs
every morning and night
marks the beginning and end
of when they play in daylight
a natural way
to wake us up break of day
then slowing down, quieting
with a final hurrah
bidding us good night!
