Cobwebs
like the strands of the cobwebs
we walk thru in the fall
prolific, almost invisible
until they cling to us all
gently removing
these delicate strands
leaving the spider to rebuild
his plans
no longer attached
to what is not ours
we are free to move on
as unencumbered stars

Mermaid Memories
the joy of being a mermaid
swimming down, down, down
and touching the bottom
turning
quick flips of the tail
propelled quickly upwards
breaking the surface
straight into the air
crashing down
and simply floating
a metaphor perhaps
energetically touching the heart of the Earth
propelled with her energies to the heavens above
then simply floating
being
living on the horizon
that space in between
