White Cosmos

White Cosmos
there was a rose bush planted
by the entry near the road
the tag on it named it Love
and this was to be its code
all summer it bloomed
and into the fall
red and scented blossoms
to be shared with all
surrounding the roses
was a circle of white
representing the cosmos
and yes you are right
named white cosmos
it reminds us of how to live
growing and sharing our love
is the greatest gift we give

Tend to Our Gardens
is there not a plant that wants watering
calling out now?
is there not colour and beauty
inviting our bow?
is there splendour and sustenance
in this communication of love?
and does plant-based nutrition
not enhance what we’re made of?
let us tend to our gardens
both within and outside of
seeding and growing
new expressions of love

Thank You Water
in the awareness of now
and the honouring of
Water as our medium
that stores all our love
from generous abundance
to scarcity at times
water as a life force
our elemental paradigm
life’s very existence
depends on this source
let us honour and love Water
as a matter of course
