Loyalty and Truth

to be loyal to is different from
being asked to obey
for it is our inner knowingness
from which we must not stray

loyalty to
concept, person, organization
is based on an alignment
of a heart-based persuasion

if an incident or action
causes the alignment to be corrupted
there is a deep questioning of truth
and the relationship is disrupted

we must always be free
to determine our own truth
and to follow our hearts
to be the living proof

the living proof
the rising up
of irrepressible love
where integrity is deepened
as we answer the call
to create what is best
what is best for us all

The Emergence of Greatness

where does it come from
this emergence of greatness?
are we born into a birthing
part of the divine matrix?

birthed as the new
with a potential unlimited
then an environment so supportive
that the outcome is definitive

every step of the way
as if given the map
intrigued by the opportunities
of each spiralling lap

not knowing what comes next
hidden by the curve
but proceeding with purpose
with the purpose to serve

a lifetime of giving
of self and abilities
celebrating family and friendships
with their supportive stabilities

and who but the we
who have known and loved you
speak to now honour your greatness

to honour your greatness
with the legacy of love
that you grew

Compassionate Heart

feeling into oneself
expanding to the whole
living in oneness
the compassionate goal

futuristic dreamtime
swirling beyond
swaying multiple leaflets
making up the palm’s frond

each leaflet aware
of those on the frond team
and from their view high above
whole tree and grove are seen

sensory wholeness
feeling the all
sensitive to beauty and suffering
and answering the call

felt by the heart
another’s suffering is part
of the aspects of wholeness
where all can impart
our love and our caring
our compassionate art
