Fragrant Tenacities
the abundance, the sweet smell
that is picked up by our senses
allowing us to navigate
to find the source of present tenses
to follow our nose
is an expression to express seeking
finding the source
of the sweetness we are breathing
tenacious, determined
explorers on our path
wanting to discover
the pureness of
our journey’s
aftermath

Persephone
goddess of earth, of soil
brought forth from ancient traditions to proclaim
we are here to germinate and to nurture
by being planters of seeds and of grain
pastoral landscapes or soil in a cup
the size and expanse matters not
but to save and to cherish for a continuous supply
every seed is like on our map just a magical dot
may Persephone inspire a metaphoric intent
to plant seeds of all we want to grow
to harvest, protect, to share and to sow
the best seeds for our future that we want to know
