Balance in Motion
we can spin like a top
bounce like a ball
flow like a river
stand still on one foot
and we balance
rebalance
with no need to look
it is an inner knowing
from the still point within
we are steady
held steady
balanced
in movement

the reflection of something
yet to become
by simply acknowledging it
its presence has won
a placement in our perception
of possibilities

seasonal tempests are raging out there
coming faster, more furious
changing the ‘scapes
bringing us inward
where we can relate
the warmth, the safety
the knowing we’re okay
protected, secure
homebound to stay
