Day of the Eagle
the day of the Eagle
would not be complete
if we did not remember
to accomplish one feat
the gift of the Eagle
is to fly high and view
the big picture, long vision
and we can do it too
what is on the horizon
about to appear?
and when all is taken in
what is the knowing of the seer?

Worn Tires

Worn Tires
the body of a vehicle
maintained to perfection
does not function well
if there has been a neglection
of the tires supporting
once they are worn
tires must be replaced
and it is our feet not our shoes
tires of the human race
precious to walk on
to dance and to run
critical for balance
for both the aged and young
to look after our feet
wear shoes that fit
allow toes to spread out
and allow them to grip
exercise the toes
and they will serve us well
and often go barefoot
feel how the feet propel
feel the grass and the sand
toughen up the soles
our feet will remember
their Earth connection
and roles

Persephone
rational, irrational
the planes of existence
temporary, exemplary
enshrined to exist
parables, comparables
brought to life with our vision
a vision of beingness
coming into form
Persephone, a parable
the goddess of spring
awakens the new world
her efforts are to bring

freshness, beauty and love
waking us to celebrate, sing
honouring the awareness
of both change and changeling
the mother who loves us
is our dear Mother Earth
nurturing and loving since
each on Earth was birthed
we are made of our Mother
and to her we’ll return
by re-birthing or visiting
so we may once again learn
the beauty of love
