precious parables teach the lessons of life
a story holds a message in pictorial form
creating associations, memories
allowing understanding to be born

such a difference from being told what to do
stories invite us to picture ourselves in the midst
they evoke sensitivities, feelings
where no personal judgement, labelling exists

Candle Wick  Lesson

standing tall
our core, our wick
access on all sides 
access to the fuel, the wax

if we allow the wick to bend
to bend to one side
it extinguishes itself
flooded by too much fuel
buried in excess
