The Egg Shell
the egg shell shape
allows for easy passage
the shell does not break
it’s a container for the new
like a dormant stone it rests now
held in warmth and cared for with love
shell rests in the nest and knows how
creation inside it can grow
the shell holds the mystery within
the new creation is veiled
until new expansion and strength break it open
and a new form of life is hailed
and having served its purpose by design
the shell then dissolves back into time
