indices are guides
they are there to inform us
points of awareness
that comfort the soul
that perfect parking spot
occurring all thru the day
the never a red light
as you drive on your way
that phone call that comes
as you think of a friend
the numbers on a clock
that reappear and suspend
us out of time
each day there is an index
that shows when we’re in the flow
supporting our conscious journey
wherever we go

we are each a page
we are not the book
if we take out a page
the book is then altered
and will no longer read
or look the same
we are part of the story
essential to the flow
from beginning to end
each page will grow
into an understanding
of the whole

Positional Freedom
we have an awareness of our world
that is struggling to be free
often places where there’s no safety
where they are not allowed to be
in charge of their choices
where there is control
there is suffering
where freedom has been sought
it is important to not
ever take it for granted
from a position of freedom
let us practice inclusiveness
let us reach out and be there
so those suffering will feel the care
by loving and sharing
as one heart there is no comparing
we experience all levels of life
be it abundance or strife
intentionally creating the new
where all not a few
can be free to roam
in the world we call home
