Racing to Rescue
racing to rescue
the scattered from the past
putting on the brakes
letting go at last
we hung onto
the emotional tags we stored
now we are aware
it is time to cut the cord
freedom, clearing
a passion for the new
opening the space for
the expansion that we grew

capricious is the nothingness
extended to the beyond
open to a seeded thought
and the freshness it has spawned
conflagration of the species’ woes
humanity then becomes
an effortless manifest
beyond where we came from

flattened to the horizon
neither above or below
aware in the between times
we can simply be with
no place to go
hoovering in the periphery
hints of the new begin to show
no expectations only willingness
and an excitement to meet
