Triumphant Regatta
blessings of some olive oil
to spread on some toast
the simplicity of gratitude
is what to cherish most
undefeated, victorious
resplendent in the midst
life is not a contest
but a celebration with a twist

there’s a smile on my face
and a warmth in my midst
my eyes feel so alive
