Defiance
defiance is a metaphor
a staging of one’s belief
a complicated engendering
that must be seen in relief
non compliance, singularity
owning one’s way to be
as long as others’ perspectives
are acknowledged
even though one might not agree
we are all products of our journeys
examining our knowingness and beliefs
time to bring it all to a circle
seeking to understand our diversity

travel thru history
travel thru time
travel to the future
bring back what’s yours and mine
the future we dream of
will be built in the now time
speak of it often
so others can align
