The Law of Independence
the hummingbird flies
lightly and free
in all directions
independently
don’t ask her to carry
a load that’s not hers
or be attached to by another
for a grounding then occurs
hummingbird’s freedom
requires one thing
simply
to resist any interference
that may hinder her ability to play

freedom = maintaining independence w/o interference
Horizons Now Gone
our horizons keep changing
here on this earth plane
with movement, new perspectives
they are never the same
to now journey within
with closed eyes and a calmness
freed of boundaries, horizons
a place simply frameless
like floating in space
with the infinite beyond
it is our presence, our journey
experiencing horizons now gone

to be at peace
is that place of acceptance
resonant vibrations
of heart and of mind
releasing to the universe
all that was held
resting in a place
where love and peace can meld
