Cobwebs
like the strands of the cobwebs
we walk thru in the fall
prolific, almost invisible
until they cling to us all
gently removing
these delicate strands
leaving the spider to rebuild
his plans
no longer attached
to what is not ours
we are free to move on
as unencumbered stars
