No Moon

No Moon
the day, the night of the no Moon
she is hidden away getting ready
she’s preparing to be a newness we’ll see
starting with just a glimpse
tomorrow

Platitudes of Inertia

Platitudes of Inertia
saline solutions
splashed on the face
awakening, awakening
into a state of grace
what is it we haven’t seen?
what is so commonplace?
slipping into a nothingness
stagnant
our desire to make a difference
sometimes only a trace
too much busyness
old habits taking our time
what is it we really love to do?
is it present, first in line?
platitudes of inertia
are to be no more
for i have been woken up
right down to my core
i am so grateful

Hyperbole

Hyperbole
when we live in service
helping each other
there’s a feeling of oneness
that we uncover
when we have that closeness
we can reverse our positions
emphasizing similarities
and not our divisions
with an amplification
of what works or is new
we become as a hyperbole
a model of care universally
