Happy New
happy new
every moment in time
celebrating the beauty
that life has to share
we measure and name
our measurements in time
minutes, hours and days
there are so many ways
to divide the infinite
by being conscious and aware
we have so much to share
there is nothing to compare
to the present moment

Ending Beginning
ending and beginning
are only just names
they don’t really exist
as we’ve come to know
there is a continuous flow
our spiritual presence
is here all the time
we only use words
trying to define
how we relate to time

Tree Frogs
the tree frogs are speaking
there’s a chorus outside
multiple voices
saying we are alive
and then there is quiet
like they woke up too soon
the sky still holds darkness
no light of the moon
we welcome the silence
perhaps a little more sleep
drifting back into dreamtime
before the new day we meet
