and not know where to go
it’s not a failure to observe ourselves
it is just a way we be
it’s when the role of another amends
and how we live as we
we complement each other
because we are not the same
we get to carry each other
into a new domain

the comfort of a small space
secluded, softly lit
a place to retreat to
to take that inner look
sometimes a place of solitude
or a place to bring a friend
sometimes to sit in silence
or to a troubled mind attend
celebrate this safe place
where peace and calm amend
becoming a sanctuary of gratitude
