A Priceless Treasure
as small as a mouse
yet as strong as a house
tested by an earthquake
for our sake
just the squeak of one hinge
that was out of alignment
left a hint of a message
the earthquake’s assignment
recognizing all can be lost
in a powerful earthquake
it is then we understand
the only thing we’d want to rescue
is the life of another
a priceless treasure
to behold
and to hold again

tracking the stars
above, below and within
appreciating their beauty
observed, reflected, even twinned
metaphoric entanglement
held in infinite space
we are the travellers
our whole human race
