A Bag of Diamonds

A Bag of Diamonds

a bag of diamonds was left on the step
a gift that was given to pay off a debt
what could it have been – a debt that was owed?
nothing remembered – perhaps long ago?

the diamonds were rough
they looked just like stones
yet the value concealed
could pay off our loans

for practical purposes, where to begin?
save them for the future or debt-free begin?
begin a new way to live, to live without debt
free from the stresses and worries we’ve kept

feeling into that prospect, it is easy to know
the diamonds were gifted so we would soon know
that to live without debt, to be in the flow
to love what we have, is the best way to go

Peaceful Platitudes

Peaceful Platitudes

peaceful platitudes sometimes the norm
yet if we focus inwards action is born
by bringing forth our desire to live in peace
our opportunities to model it will increase

capture the moments that are full of bliss
understand the emotions and live like this
often presumptuous when not engaged
by being purposeful we set the stage

peaceful yearnings becoming the norm
by engaging with others, peace is born
heart to heart, understanding new ways
playing our part creating peaceful days

Sepulchre

Sepulchre

sepulchre is a word
not often heard
so when it appeared
questions soon were geared
to discover its meaning
because it is seeming
to call
