The Serpent Sheds her Skin

V
The
Serpent
Sheds her
Skin the serpent
sheds her skin
releasing the old
for it could no
longer hold
the expansion
from within

her inner
core strong
flexible and
as long as her
entire length
giving ultimate
strength

  uncoiled and sleek
and ready to meet
every bump
in the road
to avoid
or encode

 experiential
bliss a long
bucket list
to bask
in the sun
to dream
the undone
then with
movement
so free
to take
action and be
sensitive to all
she encounters
challenges for
surmounters

     experiences
digested
for the
all she’s
invested

what will
be the
outcome
from
renewal
begun

?

The Gentlest of Poems

The Gentlest of Poems

with the gentlest of poems
we expose an open heart
softness and awareness
creation at its start

webbing and designing
a beauty that’s inclusive
access offered on all sides
or curves if sides elusive

a spectrum softly radiates
its colours blend and mix
and love in all its aspects
presents like candle wicks

to hold, caress the beauty
to hear its gentle tones
to see with awe and gratitude
the diversity it hones

for there is beauty everywhere
it is for us to know
outside of us as we observe
lets an inside beauty grow

to be part of creation’s beauty
entraining to its call
softly love and beauty sing
connecting to us all

A Bunch of Nobodies

A Bunch of Nobodies

nobody has the right to own land
it is there for us to share
nobody has the right to own water
for it is also for us to share

nobody has the right to the forests
they are there for us to conserve
nobody has the right to another’s life
it is there for us to preserve

nobody has the right to pollute
our waters, our air, our land
and each of us is only a fraction of life
each but a grain of sand

how did it happen this lack of honouring
of the diversity and beauty present?
when did we forget to give thanks and love
to a planet that has been our parent?

when others have less than someone else
nobody has the right to hoard
nobody has the right to waste
and buy excess because they can afford

nobody has the right to throw away
when it is something that can be recycled
nobody has the right to turn away
and ignore what for someone else is vital

how can we return to the days and times
when all was shared and honoured?
or better still dawn a new world that is
peaceful, sustainable, moving onward

nobody can say that they are the best
for each is truly part of the whole
nobody can continue to live in fear
if love and harmony is our goal

nobody can ever suffer again
when they are cared for by another
nobody can ever be separate again
when honoured as sister or brother

let us be aware of just where we are
then cherish this land of plenty
let us live simply  to love and accept
and reach balance by 2020
