Who are Your Heroes?

who are your heroes and do you align?
role models, teachers who help to define
living a life with true meaning and inspired
to carry the torch, impassioned, rewired

take time to devote to and practice such traits
step into the world where your passion resonates
be in the power of love and emotion
fuelling your actions with passion and devotion

blessed are they who have stepped up and done
for they set in motion how battles are won
lead on and be all you can be
meet every challenge, parting the sea

so all can walk forth into the fertile future
bringing their crafts and experience to nurture
each deep inner spark that resides in the hearts
of the many who wait to align and take part

A Wonderful World

A Wonderful World
precious is the rainbow arcing o’re the sky
precious are the puffy clouds softly floating by
and oh to see reflections on the stillness of a lake
there’s a swelling of the heart just for beauty’s sake
the scented garden beckons, roses in full bloom
the chirping of the crickets rise with heat of afternoon
the blazing sunrise then sunset colour glows all around
the honking of the geese as Vs flying soon southbound
blessed are the raindrops falling from the sky
lifting up aromas of a parched ground by and by
rustling of the winds amongst the leaves of many trees
grasses softly carpeting the ground with spreading ease
majestic are the mountains rising from afar
the ice and snow’s insistence their time is coming once more
rolling dry expanses softened by pleasant resting shadows
elsewhere there’s a flatness, steepness ending in mystic plateaus
the ever changing spectacle of the moving oceans
multi greys and blues and greens stir our own emotions
the great beauty of this created realm is a constant reminder
we give thanks to a wonderful world
we don’t have to seek to find her
for we are part of our world
wonder filled and full
of gratitude
for all that is

Fireflies

Fireflies

fireflies of the inner sight are dancing around
moving, inspiring, not making a sound
the magic of the moment can fleetingly be
but the message imparted is a new way to see
watch for injections of the inner bound flow
igniting  projections of all that we know
going beyond the habits of old
we are enabled to activate the bold
new ways of doing come from new sight
inward expansion brings on the might
listen to the inner voice wanting to speak
for there are the answers to all that we seek
