A Reflective Question
a comfy cushioned chair
an angle to the sun
when did i last relax like this?
a peacefulness is won
time may be but a fraction
of an hour or a day
but to close one’s eyes and listen
lets our senses come to play
a stillness surrounds
then a gentle breeze does stir
the sounds of birds and water
and the rest is all a blur

Flowering Beyond
the colours, the shapes, textural dimensions
the sizes, complexities, how held in suspension
creation’s garden of beauty and splendour
awaiting our awareness
slowing down, tuning in to the beauty that exists
here we are right in the midst
capricious, divine, feel it up thru the spine
and appreciate nature
nature holds the codes and the patterns of creation
the answers are there when we come into relation
ask the question and a flower will answer
we must seek and see the details revealed
the garden that’s here and that of beyond
is there to be tended and will always respond
to loving care, attention and appreciation
how we tend our gardens results in the creation
of the future beyond
