If Only
if we could only see all turned inside out
if we could only be there before thinking to arrive
if ever there was a moment, to appreciate each moment given
if we were but thankful to be here and to be alive
if colours could be tasted and all shapes had a sound
if communication was an instant out and then inbound
if sleep at night was a conscious back-up and a redesign
if our common purpose was to love and to be aligned
if we could only understand that ifs are but a wish
if we could change the way we speak into fractal present tense
we’d then be accepting that all our thoughts and our every sense
are creating our reality and we’d be the present meant
