Sculpting a New Life
a simple lump of clay
can be changed into new form
it is the hands of the sculptor
who moulds the shape that’s to be born
it is not the brain of the artist
that directs what is to be
it is a sensory attunement
that gifts the vision that we see
first seen as an image
then a feeling into form
the beauty of remodelling
gifts new life to what is born
