the chorus of frogs
sing day and night
spring has arrived
its timing just right
the budding of branches
the bulbs bursting forth
a dormancy awakened
into such beauty it is morphed
the warmth of spring sunshine
the lengthening of days
welcoming us into nature

Heart of the Pacific
continued emergence
the pulse and the flow
the Hawaiian Islands
continue to grow
and the people who came here
not that long ago
found the spirit of aloha
was there to live and to know
the heart of the Earth
is poured into this land
and the beauty that grows here
is creation’s own plan

Pacific Portal
central, submersible
deeply drawn from within
the pacific portal
is where life did begin
a purposeful opening
not just a flow
inviting Earth’s fluid core
to emerge as a surge
and to grow
building, expanding
breaking the water’s surface
cooling, re-building
what was its purpose?
to create this virgin island
and islands to be
to become a fertile landscape
that the birds would come to seed?
a sacred beginning
a paradise was born
a place to be honoured
a place full of beauty and form
